We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to define and lead the organization’s technology vision, architecture, and execution. Because without the right foundation—nothing scales.
The Role
This is the executive leader responsible for owning the entire technology ecosystem. From infrastructure → platforms → applications → security → innovation — you define it. You are not just overseeing systems. You are building the backbone of the organization. This role operates at the highest level of leadership, ensuring technology drives growth, enables innovation, and supports every division across the organization.
What You’ll Own
Technology Vision & Strategy
- Define and execute the organization’s technology strategy
- Align technology with organizational growth, platform development, and program delivery
- Build a scalable, future-focused roadmap
Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure
- Oversee system architecture across platforms, applications, and infrastructure
- Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability
- Establish strong technical foundations
Platform & Product Enablement
- Support development of learning platform (EdTech), media, and interactive platforms
- Ensure seamless integration across systems
Technology Organization Leadership
- Lead and structure the technology team, including IT operations, information security, applications & platforms
- Define roles, workflows, and accountability
Security & Risk Management
- Oversee cybersecurity strategy and implementation
- Ensure data protection, risk mitigation, and secure system design
Innovation & Emerging Technology
- Identify opportunities for AI integration, automation, and platform innovation
- Drive forward-thinking solutions
Systems Integration & Scalability
- Ensure all systems connect seamlessly, scale effectively, and support organizational needs
- Eliminate silos across technology
Data & Technology Alignment
- Partner with Salesforce and data teams
- Ensure systems support reporting, decision-making, and organizational intelligence
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Chief Strategy Officer, Marketing, Operations, Product, and program leaders
- Ensure technology enables all functions
Process, Governance & Standards
- Establish technology governance
- Define development standards, system protocols, and operational processes
- Ensure consistency and efficiency
Execution & Delivery Oversight
- Ensure technology initiatives are delivered effectively
- Monitor progress, risks, and outcomes
- Drive accountability across teams
Who This Is For
This role is for someone who:
- Thinks in systems, scale, and architecture
- Can lead both strategy and execution
- Has experience building or scaling technology environments
- Understands how technology enables organizational growth
- Is comfortable operating at the executive level
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of experience in technology leadership, engineering, IT, or platform development
- Experience with system architecture, technology strategy, and cross-functional leadership
Preferred
- Experience in SaaS, EdTech, or platform-based environments
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
- Experience leading remote or distributed teams
Commitment
- 15–25+ hours per week
- Executive-level engagement
- Participation in leadership and strategic planning meetings required
- Fully remote
