An innovative organisation in the class management software space is looking for a Software Development Manager. You will lead a talented, cohesive development team delivering across multiple active projects simultaneously in a people-first leadership role with significant technical influence.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage individual and group performance by setting expectations, running 1:1s, and identifying growth opportunities for engineers.
- Serve as the technical authority for the team, engaging in architecture decisions and design reviews across Laravel, React, and Angular stacks.
- Partner with Project Managers on sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery tracking to ensure engineering commitments are met.
- Establish and uphold coding standards, review processes, and quality benchmarks to ensure high-performing engineering execution.
- Act as the engineering voice in cross-functional conversations as features move through product, design, and deployment phases.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software development with at least 2 years in a team leadership capacity.
- Deep familiarity with modern technologies such as Laravel, React, Angular, iOS, or Android to evaluate technical decisions.
- Proven experience working in a structured agile environment alongside Project Management stakeholders.
- Strong ability to translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
