Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage the software engineering team across multiple offices, ensuring alignment with project goals and technical standards.
- Mentor engineers, set clear performance expectations, and support professional development.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution for software and embedded systems projects.
- Establish and maintain software development processes, tools, and best practices to drive efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve team capabilities, processes, and project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software and hardware engineering roles, preferably in aerospace, industrial automation, or robotics.
- 5+ years in progressively responsible software engineering leadership positions.
- Hands-on experience leading teams in software development and embedded system design.
- Expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC, CI/CD, SecDevOps) and associated toolchains.
- Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience managing project risk, including scope creep and technical challenges.
