This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineering Manager - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a critical part in leading the development of our authentication and authorization platform. You’ll oversee a talented team, ensuring they produce high-quality solutions that enhance user experience and security. Accountabilities
- Define authorization for AI workflows and design authentication for non-human actors.
- Evolve the identity layer in Auth0 to enhance authentication and token issuance.
- Maintain and mature the Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) OpenFGA model.
- Drive large-scale technical projects across multiple teams and systems.
- Mentor team members, promoting collaboration and high standards.
- Take ownership of team deliverables and drive projects from ideation to production.
- Proactively identify risks and blockers in project planning and execution.
- Foster a positive culture and embody core company principles.
- Lead, mentor, and support team growth through regular meetings and feedback.
- Partner with recruiting to define hiring criteria and onboard new team members.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional engineering experience, with leadership or management experience.
- At least 3 years in engineering management, including team development.
- Deep knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
- Hands-on experience with ReBAC systems like OpenFGA.
- Familiarity with identity providers such as Auth0, Okta, or Azure AD.
- Proficiency in backend languages (Java, Ruby, or Python) and web frameworks (Spring Boot, Rails, or Django).
- Experience with AI coding tools in the development workflow.
- Strong collaboration and decision-making abilities focused on equity and learning.
