Chief Technology Officer - Engineering & Construction - Missouri
Gryphon Oakwood are seeking a Chief Technology Officer for a leading engineering and construction firm working across the US. The CTO will unify technology operations, digital innovation, and AI strategy under a single executive, bridging IT stability with emerging tech research, development, and implementation, to ensure competitive advantage.
Core Responsibilities
Enterprise Technology & Software Strategy
- Evaluate, select, and implement ERP, HRIS, PM, and other enterprise systems.
- Ensure integration across business units and scalable architecture.
- Drive data governance and analytics initiatives to provide actionable insights for the ELT.
Digital & Engineering Technology Leadership
- Oversee engineering software platforms, BIM/VDC adoption, and digital design tools.
- Lead construction technology initiatives, including field mobility, prefabrication, robotics, and automation.
- Standardize tools across projects and business units.
AI Technology Research, Development & Implementation
- Lead research into AI applications for:
- Estimating, scheduling, and project planning
- Quality control and safety monitoring
- Predictive maintenance and equipment optimization
- HR, talent management, and workforce analytics
- Oversee proof-of-concept, development, testing, and rollout of AI solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to adopt cutting-edge AI technology.
- Build an AI roadmap aligned with business strategy, ROI, and operational impact.
IT Operations Oversight
- Retain operational responsibility for:
- Infrastructure, networks, cloud solutions
- Cybersecurity and compliance
- Helpdesk and software support
- ERP and system maintenance
- Align IT operations with strategic digital initiatives.
