We’re seeking a CTO / Technical Co-Founder who wants to build something meaningful from the ground up. This role is sweat-equity only in the early stages, with significant ownership potential.
The Opportunity
As the CTO / Co-Founder, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end technical vision for an AI-powered recruitment and training ecosystem.
- Architect and build the MVP platform: website, AI system, and backend infrastructure.
- Shape the product roadmap, technical strategy, and future engineering team.
- Work closely with the founder(s) to validate market demand, iterate product features, and prepare for investment rounds.
- Build scalable technology that integrates AI
You will have full autonomy over the technical stack and core engineering decisions.
What You’ll Be Building
- A modern, responsive, AI-powered career-transition website
- User profiles and skill-based matching logic
- Employer/training provider dashboards
- Recommendation engine for jobs, courses, apprenticeships
- Integrations with AI models for ranking, matching, and content generation
- Clean UX/UI with a simple, modern interface for first-job seekers
Technical Skills & Experience
Core Engineering Skills
- Strong full-stack development background
- Experience shipping production-ready web applications
- Experience designing clean UX/UI or collaborating with designers
Frontend (any modern stack)
- React.js / Next.js
- Vue.js or Svelte (optional)
- HTML, CSS, Tailwind, TypeScript
Backend
- Node.js, Python, or Go
- REST APIs and/or GraphQL
- Authentication systems (OAuth, JWT)
- Database design & management (SQL or NoSQL)
AI & Machine Learning
- Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, etc.)
- Knowledge of:
- Fine-tuning or embedding-based retrieval
- Recommender systems
- Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, or similar)
- Prompt engineering & system design for LLM-driven features
- Experience building:
- Matching algorithms
- Ranking models
- Skill-based recommendation engines
DevOps / Infrastructure
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or DigitalOcean)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Containerisation (Docker)
- Scalability architecture for future growth
