About The Role

The Moody’s Ratings Technology team is seeking a highly skilled VP Mgr-Software Engineering with a strong background in building scalable, predictable, high-quality, and high-performance web applications using Angular, .NET, and other Microsoft Technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative solutions, while also helping to maintain and upgrade existing systems.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
  • 5+ years leading other software engineers
  • Strong proficiency in Angular, .NET, and Microsoft Technologies.
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC).
  • Experience implementing web-enabled applications in ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, HTML5, ASP.NET MVC, JSON, REST, CSS, Tailwind
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred Skills include AWS and Azure, familiarity with SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC)) and an understanding of Ratings and Structured Finance

Education

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Angular, .NET Core, ASP, C#, MVC and other Microsoft Technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and functional requirements are met.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and upgrade existing systems as necessary.
  • Document development phases and monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals.
