Role Responsibilities
The Senior Software Engineering Manager will lead and scale our engineering teams across India and the US. This role is ideal for a technical leader who excels in cross-functional collaboration, drives high-quality software delivery, and brings deep experience in modern engineering practices.
Work closely with Product Management, Operations, and other stakeholders to define strategy, align priorities, and deliver scalable, high‑performance solutions.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams across multiple geographies (India & US).
- Build a strong engineering culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive performance management, coaching, and career development for engineers and leads.
Delivery & Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex software initiatives, ensuring high quality and timely execution.
- Collaborate with Product managers to define scope, prioritize roadmaps, and balance innovation with execution.
- Partner with Operations teams to ensure smooth releases, uptime, compliance, and service reliability.
- Establish scalable processes, metrics, and engineering best practices.
- Communicate risks, milestones, and technical decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
Technical Leadership
- Provide architectural and technical guidance on systems built using:
- Java / Spring Boot
- RESTful APIs & microservices
- Cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Databases such as MemDB, PostgreSQL
- Champion DevOps maturity including CI/CD, automation, observability, deployment orchestration, and cloud-native design.
- Advocate for engineering excellence, code quality, and system scalability.
Role Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least 4+ years in people management.
- Proven success managing distributed teams across time zones.
- Strong technical background in API development, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Java Spring Boot, and databases such as MemDB/Postgres.
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployment practices.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with Product and Operations at strategic and tactical levels.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience scaling teams during rapid product growth.
- Exposure to modern architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven systems).
- Prior experience leading transformation efforts (DevOps adoption, process optimization, cloud migration).

Salary
Annual base salary range is $160,000 – 185,000 USD per year. Total on-target compensation includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
