As Director of Engineering for Elevate, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we build, scale, and evolve our engineering organization. You’ll operate at the intersection of technology, people, and product, working closely with Product, Design, and others to ensure we deliver high-quality solutions that create real customer value.
This is a senior leadership role where you’ll focus on setting direction, enabling teams, and building a strong engineering culture, rather than hands-on coding. You'll be responsible for engineering architecture, execution excellence, and quality at scale.
Some examples of your work:
- Own the long-term technical and organizational strategy for Voyado Elevate
- Lead and coach Engineering Managers and senior technical leaders
- You will evaluate and refine existing processes, fostering efficiency while maintaining a commitment to quality
- Strategic and tactical team planning, including budget responsibility
- Guide our teams in our OKR process to set goals and measure outcomes
- Plan and coordinate strategic improvement initiatives and lead change management
- Collaborate with other functions at Voyado, such as product, operations, & GTM, on initiatives to align the product strategy with customer needs and business objectives.
So, who are you?
You are a builder. You have a passion for innovation, you challenge the status quo, and deliver exceptional experiences to both internal colleagues and our customers. In addition to your attributes and experiences above, you probably have:
- Master's or PhD in a relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or Engineering
- A couple of years of experience in a similar role, Head of Engineering or Senior Engineering Manager.
- Experience leading and managing colleagues of different seniority levels, delivering technical workshops, and providing advanced technical mentorship.
- Experience with scaling agile product organizations with multiple teams
- Experience working cross-functionally with other teams to align goals with the company's overall priorities and deliver value to the business.
- You are fluent in technical and business English, both spoken and written
