Information about the position
Engineering at Vinted is divided into Infrastructure and Product. This position is for Product Engineering, where teams develop new features from start to finish and roll them out to all our members or internal users. These teams are based in Lithuania (and few people in Berlin) and are led by Engineering Managers who will be reporting to you. We’re looking for a Director of Engineering who would contribute to the Vinted vision of making second-hand the first choice. You’ll also be responsible for the health, morale, and efficiency of multiple teams in Product Engineering.
In this position, you’ll
- Create, align and execute domain’s vision and strategy together with the rest of domain leadership (Product Management, Design and Data Science & Analytics)
- Ensure engineering in your domain enables achieving domain vision, while also meeting Vinted-wide engineering principles
- Be accountable for delivery management of all domain, while balancing competing deliverables (tech strategy vs business initiatives)
- Search for organizational efficiency, all the time (processes and procedures between the teams, change management, talent development, team member experience, overall domain budget)
- Lead and support your team of 5 Engineering Managers and Staff Engineer. Focus on their professional and personal development to ensure high team performance
About You
- You are a strong communicator. You build solid relationships. You write well, speak directly and candidly whilst showing that you care
- You have guided engineering teams to achieve good results
- Nice to have: you have a software engineering background. You’ve written code yourself in the past and like to stay on top of what’s happening with technology

The salary range for this position is € 7,758 - € 10,492 gross per month.
