Software Development Manager (Hands-On)

We are seeking a hands-on Software Development Manager to lead and scale a high-performing engineering team supporting enterprise business systems and global growth initiatives. This role combines technical leadership and people management, requiring a strong engineering background along with the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives. This position will play a key role in driving innovation, improving development practices, and delivering scalable enterprise software solutions within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Own the full software development lifecycle — planning, architecture, development, deployment, and support
  • Design and oversee scalable, secure enterprise applications and system integrations
  • Partner with business, product, and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Champion Agile development practices and engineering best practices (code quality, testing, DevOps)
  • Track delivery metrics and ensure system performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction
  • Drive continuous improvement and adoption of modern technologies and development approaches

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience in enterprise environments
  • 3+ years managing or leading software development teams
  • Strong experience with Microsoft technologies: C#, .NET, MS SQL Server, SSRS, Azure DevOps/TFS
  • Experience delivering scalable enterprise applications
  • Agile methodology experience (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Experience working with or integrating ERP systems (IFS ERP preferred)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
