Director of Forensics Engineering - Remote - USA
Talisman Advisory Partners is supporting a leading engineering and consulting firm in their search for a Director of Structural Forensic Engineering. This role offers the chance to shape a growing practice, lead high-visibility projects, and build a high-performing team within a well-established national organization.
The incoming Director will drive the vision and technical direction of the forensics and restoration group in the US market. You’ll oversee complex investigations, develop innovative approaches, strengthen client relationships, and play a key role in expanding the practice across the region. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage structural forensics and restoration projects from concept to delivery.
- Maintain high standards of technical quality, project efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure effective resource planning.
- Build and strengthen relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Support business development and contribute to revenue and profitability goals.
- Review and approve project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
- Oversee compliance with contracts, risk management policies, and internal procedures.
- Drive financial performance across the department.
- Mentor, coach, and develop staff to support long-term team growth.
- Participate in recruiting efforts to build additional technical capacity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- 8+ years of structural engineering experience, including forensic and restoration work.
- Proven success leading large, complex technical projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a multidisciplinary team.
