Chief Technology Officer

We are hiring a CTO

A fast-growing Saudi-based digital marketplace platform that connects users with freelance service providers across beauty and creative services (e.g. makeup artists, hair stylists, nail artists, photographers).

Role Purpose

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will own and lead the overall technical vision of the platform. This role is responsible for ensuring that technology enables business growth, scalability, security, and long-term sustainability. The CTO will work closely with leadership and the IT Manager to translate business goals into reliable, scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the platform’s technical architecture and long-term technology roadmap
• Make strategic decisions related to scalability, performance, security, and system reliability
• Ensure all technology choices align with business objectives and operational priorities
• Oversee execution of the technical roadmap in collaboration with the IT Manager and delivery teams
• Maintain high standards for code quality, system stability, and overall technical health
• Lead and approve technical hiring decisions, team structure, and engineering standards
• Review and guide architectural decisions across products, services, and integrations
• Manage and evaluate external vendors, partners, or development teams when applicable
• Act as a technical thought partner to leadership, translating business requirements into scalable systems

Authority & Decision-Making

• Final authority over technical architecture and major technology decisions
• Define technical priorities and long-term development direction
• Approve or reject technical hires and architectural approaches

Required Experience & Profile

• Proven experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, or senior technology leader for a digital platform or SaaS product
• Strong background in system architecture, scalability, and software engineering
• Experience leading engineering teams and working alongside IT or delivery managers
• Demonstrated ability to balance speed, quality, security, and long-term technical health
• Experience in high-availability or regulated environments is a strong advantage
• Strategic mindset with hands-on understanding of modern technology stacks
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder communication skills
