Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Director of Engineering, based in the US, with the flexibility to work from home. The Director of Engineering will lead and guide the engineering team, drive the execution of software development projects, and ensure successful project delivery. The role involves strategic integration of systems and fostering collaboration within cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and maintain the technological excellence of Sunstone’s platform. This is a highly technical role so requires a lot of feature discovery and implementation, as well as team leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Engineering Management and Team Leadership to guide and inspire engineering teams.
- Experience with and proficiency in full-stack development (AWS, Node-Typescript, REACT, SQL, data pipelines, CI/CD, IaC)
- Strong expertise in Software Development and Integration, with a focus on creating reliable and scalable solutions.
- Proficiency in Project Management to oversee timelines, budgets, and delivery of engineering initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Knowledge of renewable energy or financial technology industries is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
