Position Overview
SkyBridge Luxury has partnered with a premier luxury beach resort in Naples, Florida to identify an experienced and hands-on Assistant Director of Engineering. This leadership role will support all aspects of resort engineering operations while helping maintain the highest standards of safety, functionality, and presentation across guestrooms, public spaces, beach facilities, pools, and back-of-house areas.

The Assistant Director of Engineering will work closely with the Director of Engineering to oversee daily operations of the engineering department, including preventative maintenance programs, life safety systems, utilities management, vendor coordination, and capital project execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable leading in a fast-paced beachfront resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support oversight of all resort mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems
- Lead and mentor engineering team members, ensuring productivity, safety, and service standards
- Manage and execute preventative maintenance programs for guestrooms, public spaces, beach operations, pools, and food & beverage outlets
- Assist in capital projects, renovations, and long-term asset planning
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Maintain strong relationships with contractors and vendors
- Respond to guest and operational service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Partner cross-functionally with Rooms, F&B, and Spa leadership to maintain seamless operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of engineering experience within a luxury hotel or resort environment
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience within an engineering department
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
- Experience in beachfront or coastal property operations preferred
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and engineering software
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Guest-focused mindset with a hands-on leadership style
