ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Manager Software Development, you are responsible for a portfolio of applications and systems, of their evolution, and will oversee the successful delivery of the Messaging portfolio “Client Messaging” products/systems, including Sitatex Online, IP and mobile, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with customer expectations.

You will be accountable for managing cross-functional teams, coordinating resources, and mitigating risks to ensure project success. Reporting to the T&E CDE portfolio CTO, you will be a part of the T&E CDE management team responsible for developing solutions for the CD&E portfolio.

This role may require occasional travel to development locations to ensure alignment and effective communication with stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage your portfolio, ensure efficient and modern technology, addressing technical debt and keeping skilled staff motivated.
  • Lead the budgeting, planning, execution, and delivery of the portfolio, managing products & projects, ensuring they align with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing issues or risks to keep the project on track.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by coordinating cross-functional teams, including software, devops, and quality engineers, and support staff.
  • Implement and promote best practices in software development (with a clear focus on data management) and Agile methodologies.
  • Ensure thorough quality assurance processes are in place to meet product standards and customer expectations.
  • Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, optimizing delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all project phases, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of growth, learning, and accountability.
  • Manage external providers (resource identification, scope of work definition).

WHO YOU ARE

  • 10+ years of experience in IT and 5 years in managing a team.
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in software development and delivery.
  • Strong technical background in software engineering, with a solid understanding of product lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer sciences or engineering.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, balancing technical and business needs effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Experience with risk management and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with modern data platform.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud technologies.
  • Proficient in using project management tools and methodologies to track progress and deliverables.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a focus on detail and results-driven outcomes.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative team culture.
