As the new year begins, a Healthcare/Tech company is searching for a Director of Engineering to lead their next phase of growth. Along with being able to stay technical, we task you to also bring leadership qualities to the table. Though a main task is to modernize the current tech, you are also expected to be a client partner to help build relationships and extend the reach of this company across the healthcare industry.
What You’ll Do
- Platform Modernization: Lead the evolution of an Azure-based .NET & React platform into a modular, scalable, and maintainable system.
- Engineering Standards & Delivery: Set technical standards, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC processes to ensure reliable, predictable releases.
- Quality & Observability: Drive automated testing, monitoring, and incident response practices to improve system reliability and reduce regressions.
- Security & Compliance: Lead SOC 2 certification efforts and maintain ongoing HIPAA compliance, embedding secure practices into the development lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and scale high-performing engineering teams across backend, frontend, and QA, aligning distributed teams globally.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in software engineering; 5+ years in engineering leadership
- Azure and cloud-native experience
- Proven success modernizing legacy systems
- Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.)
- Distributed team leadership experience
