Our client in the fintech space is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead core technical enablement functions including Platform Engineering, Security Engineering, and Data Science / AI.

Responsibilities
- Lead and scale platform, security, and data/AI engineering teams through strong technical and people leadership
- Define and execute multi-year technical strategy aligned with business and product goals
- Own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, reliability, observability, and developer enablement
- Establish and maintain security engineering practices including compliance, risk management, and incident readiness
- Drive data platform and AI/ML capabilities to enable analytics, insights, and intelligent product features
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and GTM leaders to align delivery with business priorities
- Build a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience in modern SaaS environments
- 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles (Director / Senior Manager level)
- Strong background in platform or infrastructure engineering, with exposure to security and/or data systems
- Experience operating at scale in cloud-native, distributed architectures
- Proven ability to lead multiple teams and influence executive-level stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and comfort operating in fast-growth environments

- Experience with AI/ML platforms or data science teams
- Background in B2B SaaS, fintech, procurement, or enterprise platforms
- Experience leading remote or distributed teams
