About the Opportunity

The Software Development Manager will lead and support the Analytics Platform Team (APT), which is responsible for designing and maintaining advanced analytical capabilities across the organization. This role includes full administrative and HR responsibility for the APT and provides administrative leadership and facilitation to the Data Science team to ensure close alignment with product management and smooth collaboration between the two teams. The position demands strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage highly skilled, autonomous, and geographically dispersed teams across multiple time zones, including remote members.

Responsibilities

  • Take full administrative and HR responsibility for the Analytics Platform Team
  • Collaborate closely with the technical lead of APT to realize the team's vision
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Support professional development, performance management, and team engagement
  • Serve as liaison between the Analytics Platform Team and the Data Science team
  • Facilitate planning, coordination, and agile rituals for data science initiatives
  • Ensure alignment between analytical development and product management priorities
  • Oversee resource planning, workload balancing, and project coordination
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and delivery capacity
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders
  • Support data science work through platform capabilities
  • Promote technical excellence and scalability of analytical solutions
  • Ensure adherence to organizational standards and best practices

Requirements

  • Experience leading highly skilled, autonomous teams using a facilitative approach
  • Strong background in HR and administrative management
  • Cultural sensitivity and empathy for managing global, distributed teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Conflict resolution and consensus-building abilities
  • Ability to create trust and transparency within teams
  • Strong planning and coordination skills for complex multi-team initiatives
  • Ability to align technical work with business objectives and product strategy
  • Experience with agile methodologies and facilitating agile rituals
  • Good understanding of software development practices and analytical platforms
  • Familiarity with data science workflows and enabling technologies
  • Capacity to assess technical trade-offs and promote best practices
  • Comfort working in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and provide clarity in complex contexts
  • Proactive risk identification and mitigation strategy implementation
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
