About the Role:

We are hiring an Engineering Manager to join Remitly's Flex organization focused on lending products. Lending is a newer product area at Remitly that has found product-market fit and is now scaling to serve millions of customers.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team at an important moment, helping shape how customers experience and work with Remitly's lending products as we grow.

You will lead a local, co-located team which focuses on the customer experience across the lifecycle of lending products. Your team builds the systems and experiences customers rely on over time, making this a visible, customer-facing area of the business. You will report to an Engineering Manager and partner with Product and Design to lead execution and outcomes in an evolving space.

You Will:

  • Lead the Agenda: Partner with Product and Design to shape the roadmap and priorities for the Lending Servicing experience. You will oversee this area, ensuring we deliver experiences that are intuitive, reliable, and valuable for customers.
  • Lead the Team: Manage a team of engineers, supporting hiring, performance management, and career growth. You will create an environment where engineers can do their best work and grow with the team.
  • Collaborate: Work with Product, Design, Customer Support, Operations, and partner engineering teams to deliver customer-facing features. You will help balance our needs, customer experience, and technical considerations.
  • Travel to the Seattle office 1–2 times per year.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a software engineering role.
  • 2 years of experience in a technical leadership or people management role.
  • Experience leading teams delivering complex, business-critical systems.
  • Experience with software development practices, system design, and operating production services.
  • Experience partnering with product managers and partners in a data-driven, customer-centric way.
  • Balance near-term delivery with long-term system health and scalability.

Compensation Details:

The starting base salary range for this position is typically zł 352,000 – zł 396,000 gross per annum. In Poland, Remitly employees are shareholders (RSUs) in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
