We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Software Development Manager to join our team and lead our software development initiatives. This role is perfect for early-career professionals who are excited about managing a development team, overseeing projects, and driving the creation of high-quality software solutions in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of software developers to deliver high-quality applications and features.
  • Coordinate and oversee the development lifecycle from design to deployment, ensuring that all deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to define project requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Review and approve code, ensuring it meets best practices for performance, maintainability, and security.
  • Monitor team progress, identify risks, and proactively address potential obstacles.
  • Help implement Agile methodologies to improve project delivery and efficiency.
  • Ensure high standards of software quality through effective use of testing, code reviews, and quality assurance processes.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in software development or related roles, including internships or project leadership.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript).
  • Basic understanding of software development practices and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a development team.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development tools.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems and provide guidance to the team.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus.
