THE ROLE
Lead the transformation of Pure Storage's hardware portfolio as a Director-level, Individual Contributor Product Manager. You will own the multi-year vision and strategy for our core hardware products, defining how we win in the enterprise data storage market. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you translate deep customer insights and market dynamics into a differentiated, executable roadmap. You will serve as the executive champion, driving alignment and strategic prioritization across Engineering, Sales, and company leadership to deliver measurable business outcomes and innovation.
What You'll Do
- Define and Champion Product Strategy: Own and articulate a compelling, differentiated multi-year product vision and strategy for Pure Storage’s hardware product portfolio, driving measurable outcomes in market adoption, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive Full Lifecycle Ownership: Lead the complete hardware product lifecycle, from initial concept and definition to successful launch, market growth, and strategic end-of-life management, ensuring maximum business impact and portfolio health.
- Executive Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the strategic hub, partnering closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to champion product priorities, communicate critical trade-off decisions, and align the entire organization on the roadmap.
- Translate Insight into Innovation: Champion a discipline of deep, systematic customer and market research, translating competitive intelligence and voice-of-customer into actionable product direction that creates significant market differentiation.
- Analyze and Accelerate Growth: Use market trends, customer usage data, and business performance metrics to identify, justify, and capture new opportunities that accelerate portfolio growth and transformation.
What You Bring
- Hardware Product Leadership: Proven leadership and hands-on, full-lifecycle ownership of enterprise hardware products (e.g., storage systems, infrastructure, or related domains) that have successfully scaled and achieved significant market impact.
- Strategic Vision & Influence: Demonstrated ability to define a clear, strategic product vision and effectively influence cross-functional teams, including senior executives, Sales, and Engineering, to align resources and execute the plan.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Advanced analytical and critical problem-solving skills, with a sustained track record of using data to drive impactful product decisions and deliver measurable business results (e.g., product adoption, revenue growth).
- Technical Domain Expertise: Deep technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure and storage environments, including relevant deployment models, customer use cases, and industry best practices.
- Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The Annual Base Salary Range Is
$241,000—$362,000 USD
