Parcc Associates is representing a well-established, U.S.-based plastic injection molding manufacturer seeking a Director of Engineering to lead tooling strategy, engineering execution, and project delivery across new and existing programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for Tooling, Engineering, and Project Management functions
- Manage and develop Project Engineers responsible for mold design, build, qualification, and customer approval
- Oversee domestic and offshore mold build programs, ensuring cost, timing, and profitability targets are met
- Partner with the Toolroom Manager to drive toolroom performance, standards, and financial results
- Serve as a core member of the RFQ and quoting team, evaluating moldability, tooling strategy, and cost
- Lead and participate in tool design reviews, DFMs, and mold flow analysis
- Utilize CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and mold flow software as needed
- Collaborate with customers on new product launches and legacy tooling improvements
- Work cross-functionally with Production and Process Engineering to reduce cycle times, improve quality, and lower cost
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across Engineering and Tooling
- Champion state-of-the-art tooling and injection molding technologies
What We’re Looking For
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Management (or equivalent experience)
Experience
- 10+ years in plastic injection molding, tooling, or manufacturing environments
- Proven leadership experience managing engineers and technical teams
- Hands-on understanding of mold design, mold flow, resins, and injection molding processes
- Experience working directly with customers on technical and commercial matters
- Strong background supporting RFQs, tooling quotes, and new program launches
