The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Navigate360 will lead the technology vision and strategy, ensuring the development and delivery of innovative, secure, and scalable solutions that align with the company’s mission to enhance safety and well-being in schools and workplaces.
This role is based in Tampa, Florida and will guide and oversee a virtual engineering, product management, and Data Science organization, focusing on delivering product features that accelerate revenue growth, improve customer retention, and enhance Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Lead software development, architecture, and infrastructure teams.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for product management to ensure customer-centric solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Drive innovation in AI, analytics, and cloud-based solutions to support Navigate360’s safety and wellness platforms.
- Lead integration of technologies and teams from acquired companies into existing technology infrastructure and function.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate technology into strategic planning.
- Engage with investors and Board of Directors to communicate technology strategy, performance, and value creation initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships and technology budgets effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in SaaS, Gov/EdTech sectors.
- Proven track record in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and enterprise software development.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (FERPA, CJIS, FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS enterprise architectures, distributed systems, and cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Expertise building and governing large-scale data platforms (Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) for analytics, ML, and real-time insights.
- Experience with AI/ML applications and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with public and/or school safety technologies a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in Private Equity-backed environments, driving value creation and growth.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
