NASC is seeking a part-time Chief Technology Officer to support the President and Executive Vice President.
Responsibilities of the Position:
Advise Corporate Leadership
- Provide strategic and technical guidance to the company President & Executive Vice President
- Use knowledge of potential & existing customer interests to guide corporate investments
Collect Knowledge Base
- Access corporate sectors as necessary to establish necessary guidance
- Review company product areas for potential “Dual Use” technology applications
- Maintain knowledge of customer research and applied technologies through participation in customer sponsored events and individual discussions as available
- Maintain knowledge of Sector developments & accomplishments through frequent interactions as deemed necessary with Sector leadership
- Focus areas initially to include ASW & Advanced Acoustics but expanding to include Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Combat Systems, and Airborne Systems
Advocate for Enhancement of Corporate Capabilities
- Identify required technical tools to advance corporate capabilities and ability to attract new business
- Assist corporate leadership in prioritizing capital investments
Position Reporting Requirement:
Incumbent will report findings & recommendations to the company President and Executive Vice President on an agreed frequency with ad hoc updates provided as necessary
Position Location:
- Position location to be based at the NASC Patuxent River, MD office
- Remote work option is optional when approved and on-site presence is not essential
- Principle travel will be required between NASC HQ in Ivyland, PA and NASC office at Patuxent River, MD
- Other travel may be necessary on an “as-needed” basis
