Description

As a Software Development Manager (SDM), you'll manage the engineering design and decisions with a team of engineers and product partners. To succeed in this role, you believe in high standards for code quality, code reviews, testing, and operational excellence. You create mechanisms for achieving results and iterating improvements and can lead a team to deliver results in a space that operates like a start-up, with the autonomy to build the right solution from Day One. About The Team

The mission of the EU INTech Consumer Selection Discovery teams is to help customers find, evaluate and compare products they like, need or want.

We operated on the frontlines of Stores customer experience across the entire customer journey and its tech stack. You will be delivering for hundreds of millions of customers WW who use Search, Details Page, Checkout etc.

You will work closely with product, UX designers and our in-house science team.

We are EU-based organization with the main offices in Madrid and Luxembourg.

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience in engineering team management
  • Experience in engineering
  • Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services
  • Experience partnering with product and program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
