Overview
Job Summary
The Web Experience and Services Team is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead our AI Ops initiative—leveraging AI to identify, root-cause, and fix production issues across high-scale, geo-distributed services. These services power the infrastructure behind Office web applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
We’re modernizing our platform to push the limits of scalability, reliability, and self-healing. You’ll design, build, and run AI-driven observability, diagnostics, and automated remediation pipelines that protect global customer experiences in real time—at a scale rarely found in industry—across M365 and Azure.
If you want hands-on leadership in AI-assisted operations, including anomaly detection, causal inference, intelligent runbooks, and safe autorollback/repair, this role offers the opportunity to shape how production reliability is achieved with AI.
