The Director of Engineering

Leads the development and delivery of complex energy and infrastructure systems, translating high‑level technical vision into scalable, reliable products. This role builds and manages a growing engineering organization while driving execution across hardware, software, and systems integration.

Description

In this role you will report directly into Senior Leadership and will be responsible for:

  • Defining and executing the engineering strategy aligned with company objectives
  • Leading the design, development, and integration of complex technical systems
  • Establishing engineering processes, standards, and best practices
  • Managing technical risk, system performance, and delivery timelines
  • Building, mentoring, and scaling a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Partnering with Operations, Product, and Leadership on execution and delivery
  • Supporting customer, partner, and stakeholder technical engagements

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in advanced hardware, energy, and/or nuclear environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading and scaling engineering teams
  • Background in delivering complex, multi‑disciplinary systems
  • Strong systems‑level thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience operating in fast‑paced or high‑growth environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences
