About MEmusic.
MEmusic. exists to make the music industry more accessible, more transparent, + less gatekept — especially for creatives + professionals navigating it without inherited connections.
Our upcoming platform, MEmusic.meet, is being built as the world’s largest music industry social networking app — blending professional networking, content discovery, + creative collaboration into one intentionally designed ecosystem.

The Role
We’re looking for a CTO who is both a masterful engineer + a strategic thinker — someone who can co-build the technical foundation of MEmusic.meet with intention, discernment, + long-range vision.
You are fully capable of architecting + building the initial version of the platform independently, while also designing systems that scale cleanly with users, features, + a future engineering team. You’re comfortable making real decisions early — not deferring them to “later.” 🖤
You’ll work closely with the founding team to shape product direction, technical strategy, + long-term infrastructure. While marketing + growth will eventually be led by a dedicated team, your technical judgment will meaningfully support early growth, retention, + experimentation.
You’re fluent in modern AI tools + understand how to use them responsibly — but your value consistently exceeds what any tool could output. AI is used only when it’s ethical, seamless, + genuinely additive.

Responsibilities
- Build the core architecture + infrastructure for MEmusic.meet, including scalable databases + systems to support user-generated content, submissions, + process tracking
- Design systems that are secure, performant, + built to scale
- Shape product strategy + long-term technical vision in alignment with company goals
- Provide technical input on early growth, retention, + experimentation strategies
- Collaborate closely with founders to ensure alignment across product, design, + growth
- Establish an engineering culture rooted in quality, accountability, discernment, + ethical innovation
- Independently handle complex technical challenges while preparing to hire, mentor, + lead engineers as the company grows

Ideal Experience
- Strong background across frontend + backend engineering
- Deep knowledge of app architecture + scalable database design
- Experience building products from concept through launch
- Familiarity with AI tools + the discernment to use them strategically
- Prior experience leading engineers or managing technical contributors (preferred)
- Experience supporting product growth + retention for digital-native audiences
