Your Impact
In the next 12 months, you will lead the teams building out the paved road for frontend development at scale at Kaluza. Your success ensures that as we innovate, we never compromise on resilience.
- For our Clients: You will harden our frontend release capabilities, ensuring that global giants like OVO and AGL experience operational stability even as we continuously roll out new features.
- For our Engineers: You will make experience development a joy. By building robust shared tooling and deployment capabilities, you’ll remove the cognitive load from feature teams, allowing them to focus on value rather than infrastructure.
- For Kaluza: You will lead the build-out of a brand-new frontend platform. You aren't just managing existing teams; you are defining the technical standards and ownership models that will allow Kaluza to scale to its next milestone.
What You’ll Do
You will operate at the intersection of Product, People, and Platform Infrastructure:
- Own the "Paved Road" Technical Strategy: You will define and execute the technical strategy for our frontend monorepo, frontend CI/CD capabilities and design system. Your goal is to make doing the right thing the easiest thing for every frontend engineer at Kaluza.
- Lead through Ambiguity: As this is an early-stage build, you will help your two teams navigate undefined ownership models and prioritize the most impactful platform-style problems to solve.
- Build & Mentor: You will grow the headcount in line with our global product demand. You’ll mentor two Tech Leads and their squads, fostering a culture of servant leadership where the team feels supported to solve high-stakes architectural challenges.
About You
Ideally you'll have/be:
- Engineering Leadership: Proven experience leading and upskilling engineers, with a focus on team delivery and individual growth.
- Familiarity with Typescript and React: Expertise managing teams building scalable frontend applications using TypeScript and React and a strong understanding of modern patterns.
- Ambiguity Expert: Comfortable working in evolving and undefined spaces, with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
- Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in cloud-based environments and collaborating across platform and backend boundaries.
- Communication Focused: Strong communication skills with a passion for building software that solves real-world customer problems.

- Frontend Platform Experience: Experience building shared frontend tooling or platforms that support hundreds of contributors.
- Quality Champion: Strong background in writing comprehensive end-to-end tests for complex frontend applications.
