Engineering Manager (AI)

We’re partnering with a global leader in professional services technology and information solutions to bring on an Engineering Manager for a high-priority initiative within their organization.
This role sits within a recently acquired startup inside the broader company, focused on building AI agents that automate complex workflow steps across tax, accounting, and audit functions. It’s a unique opportunity to join a fast-moving, startup-like environment backed by the scale and resources of a large, established platform.
The Role
You’ll lead and scale an engineering team working across AI-driven product initiatives, with a focus on both technical execution and team development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers across multiple initiatives
- Drive technical strategy and roadmap aligned with product and business goals
- Partner closely with product, data, and business stakeholders
- Contribute to architecture and system design, particularly for AI-driven workflows
- Introduce and scale engineering best practices to improve quality and delivery
- Manage project timelines, resourcing, and execution
- Play a key role in hiring and building out the team
What They’re Looking For
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering leadership experience
- Strong backend experience (Python preferred)
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Exposure to modern frontend technologies is a plus (React, TypeScript, etc.)
- Experience working in ambiguous or evolving environments (startup or transformation experience is a plus)
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence across cross-functional teams
