Irentos is building an AI-first operating system for property operations. The residential property industry is under intense pressure from regulation, rising costs, and fragmented technology. irentos replaces disconnected tools and manual admin with a single, AI-powered platform that automates operations, communication, and compliance.
We have:
- a clear MVP and product strategy,
- strong market research,
- an early technical prototype,
- and an active fundraising plan (SEIS/EIS).
We are now forming the founding leadership team and are looking for a CTO to own the technical vision and execution.
The Role
This is a founding CTO role, not a hands-on developer position.
You will:
- Own the technical strategy and architecture of the platform.
- Translate product vision into an executable technical roadmap.
- Manage and direct outsourced development teams.
- Ensure quality, security, scalability, and delivery discipline.
- Act as the technical counterpart to the CEO in fundraising and strategic discussions.
You will not be expected to code day-to-day, but you must be technically credible enough to:
- challenge engineers,
- make architecture decisions,
- and ensure outsourced teams deliver correctly.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Defining the overall system architecture and technology stack.
- Owning technical decision-making and trade-offs.
- Managing outsourced developers and agencies (scope, quality, timelines).
- Ensuring clean code ownership and handover.
- Building with security, compliance, and scalability in mind.
- Supporting investor discussions with technical credibility.
- Planning the transition to an in-house engineering team post-funding.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience building and scaling SaaS products.
- Has previously led engineering teams or outsourced development successfully.
- Is comfortable operating in early-stage, ambiguous environments.
- Thinks strategically about technology, not just implementation.
- Understands how to build MVPs that are fundable, not over-engineered.
- Has experience with AI-enabled products or complex workflows (bonus).
- Is motivated by ownership and long-term value creation, not short-term salary.
- Prior CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering experience is ideal.
Compensation & Commitment
- Equity: Meaningful founding equity (to be agreed; vesting applies).
- Salary: Equity-only until funding is secured.
- Time: Part-time strategic involvement initially, increasing post-funding.
- Future: Full-time CTO role once funding is raised.
