Role Overview
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is accountable for the technical direction, engineering quality, and production pipelines across Inviox Studios.
This role requires deep, hands-on expertise in both Unreal Engine 5 and Unity, combined with the ability to lead and govern complex, multi-project production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own Inviox Studios’ overall technology and engineering strategy
- Oversee all technical aspects of projects built in Unreal Engine 5 and Unity
- Establish and maintain production-grade pipelines for game development, asset integration, and cinematics
- Set engineering standards covering architecture, performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Provide senior technical leadership and escalation support across teams
- Review and approve major technical decisions, engine customizations, and architectural changes
- Ensure build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices are production-ready
- Evaluate and govern third-party tools, middleware, and platforms
- Act as senior technical authority in client and partner engagements when required
Required Technical Expertise
Unreal Engine 5
- Deep understanding of UE5 architecture and core systems
- Advanced experience with C++ and the Gameplay Framework
- Strong knowledge of rendering, lighting, performance optimization, and profiling
- Experience with asset streaming, memory management, and large-world projects
- Ability to extend or customize engine systems when required
- Understanding of platform-specific builds and deployment
Unity
- Expert-level knowledge of Unity engine systems and internals
- Advanced proficiency in C# and Unity scripting APIs
- Strong experience with performance profiling and optimization
- Understanding of ECS / DOTS where applicable
- Experience building custom editor tools, inspectors, and pipeline automation
- Proven ability to manage large, long-lived Unity projects
General Engineering
- Strong foundation in software architecture and design patterns
- Experience with multiplayer systems, backend services, or online infrastructure where relevant
- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with version control strategies for large distributed teams
- Awareness of security, data protection, and compliance considerations
Leadership and Experience
- Senior leadership experience as CTO, Technical Director, Head of Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven ability to lead senior engineers, technical artists, and cross-disciplinary teams
- Experience operating in distributed, international production environments
- Ability to operate both hands-on and at executive level
- Clear, structured communication suitable for executive and client contexts
