Role Overview
IDX Games / idNerd Studio is seeking an experienced Software Development Project Manager with a strong background in software programming. This individual will lead and manage software development projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will be adept at Agile methodologies, familiar with modern project management tools, and capable of leveraging AI technologies to enhance development efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Plan, execute, and oversee software development projects from initiation to delivery.
- Manage Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning to ensure Agile best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Senior Management team to align project goals with organizational strategy.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor development teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Ensure clear communication of project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ability to coach team member on software development directions to achieve desired outcome.
- Process & Tools
- Utilize Jira and the Atlassian suite for project tracking and reporting.
- Monitor and optimize the software development pipeline for efficiency and quality.
- Implement AI-driven tools and practices to improve productivity and reduce development cycles.
- Stakeholder Management
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in software development, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
- Proven experience managing Agile projects, including Scrum and sprint execution.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong programming background (e.g., Go, Python, C#, Unreal or Godot Engine, etc).
- Good technical background with knowledge of different software architecture (e.g. Micro Services, etc).
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Atlassian project management tools.
- Knowledge of AI tools and their application in software development.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience in implementing AI-driven solutions in development workflows.
- Experience is Software Architecture.
- Familiarity with virtual machine and docker container (Proxmox VM, Docker, etc)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
