What you'll do

The Engineering Director oversees all Plant Engineering functions, partnering with plant and corporate stakeholders to drive best practices in safety, maintenance, reliability, environmental compliance, and technology. Responsibilities include leading the engineering team and managing annual and long-term capital plans.

  • Direct the development of capital projects in support of the plant
  • Lead and manage capital projects including small investment projects
  • Lead the development of a 5-year capital plan for the assigned plant overlaying the infrastructure needs of the facility with the growth, innovation and reconfiguration requirements
  • Lead and manage team of Site Engineers and Project Managers to deliver the sites aggressive engineering work load, including capacity growth projects, productivity projects and Safety and Quality projects
  • Provide input to Regional Engineering for the development and maintenance of the plant capacity and capability model. In collaboration with Regional Engineering, overlay different manufacturing scenarios in order to evaluate different capital scenarios to support growth and innovation.
  • Employs standards as applicable. Collaborates with Regional Engineering for the development of new standards based on developing requirements.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred in technical area (Chemistry or Engineering)
  • 7 (required)– 10 years of experience in roles with project management responsibilities within a manufacturing or supply chain organization, preferably in Consumer Products industry (10+ years preferred)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing plant
  • Experience designing equipment and processes with the end user in mind to ensure vertical start up (VSU) and optimal performance
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of project management, writing capital projects, and leadership of engineering disciplines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities; promotes engagement & diversity
  • Familiar with hygienic design in CPG environment

The salary for this role is $200,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
