We're working with the leading acute care health system and primary provider for the Rockaway Peninsula on this exciting opportunity. We are seeking a visionary technologist to spearhead a massive digital transformation, leveraging MEDITECH expansion and cutting-edge health informatics to revolutionize patient care for over 1,500 employees and 400+ physicians.
The Role
- Lead the strategic roadmap for a major MEDITECH expansion project, ensuring seamless integration across clinical, financial, and administrative operations.
- Manage a high-performing IT division of 35 FTEs and 4 direct reports, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional mentorship.
- Conduct comprehensive IT gap analyses to identify infrastructure vulnerabilities and implement modern digital health solutions.
- Partner directly with the EVP and COO to align technology investment with enterprise-wide clinical outcomes and business growth.
- Oversee complex vendor management, contract negotiations, and multi-million dollar budget oversight for hardware, software, and cybersecurity stacks.
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive Healthcare IT leadership experience, with a track record of driving enterprise-level digital transformation; prior CIO/CTO experience is highly preferred.
- Deep expertise in Healthcare Regulatory Compliance, including HIPAA, NIST, HITECH, and CMS mandates.
- Advanced technical background with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Information Systems; Master’s degree and CHCIO, CPHIMS, or CISSP certifications are massive pluses.
- Proven experience managing large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems—specifically MEDITECH—and hospital information systems.
- Strong command of cybersecurity frameworks, network infrastructure, and data processing in a 24/7 acute care hospital environment.
