About The Role
The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Emulation Software Manager to join our Emulation Software team based in Berkeley, Missouri. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development and management of emulation software solutions that support Boeing’s Software Fabric / Boeing Emulation, Simulation, Test and Analysis Framework (BESTAF) business organization. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for delivering emulation software across the enterprise, supporting software and hardware verification, and enabling product innovation. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in software engineering and strong leadership skills to motivate and develop team members, foster collaboration, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with significant experience in software development and leadership within high-tech industries such as aerospace or defense. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. A minimum of five years of experience in the software development life cycle, coupled with at least two years of leadership experience, is essential. Preferred qualifications include active security clearance, experience managing software engineering teams, and familiarity with embedded software, hardware design, and industry standards for safety-critical systems. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineers performing technical activities related to emulation and embedded software development.
- Develop and execute project plans, establish operational goals, and implement policies and procedures to ensure timely delivery of software solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to facilitate effective collaboration and project alignment.
- Oversee technical approaches, review products and processes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support employee development through mentorship, training, and fostering an inclusive work environment that encourages diverse perspectives and open communication.
- Ensure safety, quality, and schedule commitments are met by proactively addressing potential issues and raising concerns promptly.
