About The Role
Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Section Leader to join its Patriot Software Team within the Air and Missile Defense Software Department. This leadership position involves overseeing software personnel to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, demonstrate disciplined management skills, and thrive in a dynamic agile environment. This role is critical in supporting major program tasks within the Patriot domain, requiring a dedicated onsite presence at our Tewksbury, Massachusetts facility. As a Section Leader, you will be responsible for guiding team performance, fostering professional growth, and ensuring project deliverables align with organizational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to national defense initiatives while leading a talented team of software engineers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) fields, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in software development or related disciplines. A minimum of two years of functional management experience leading medium to large teams is required. Proven project management skills and the ability to coordinate complex tasks are essential. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an interim secret U.S. security clearance prior to starting, with U.S. citizenship being a mandatory requirement due to security clearance regulations.
