About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to join our Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) team based in Hazelwood, MO. In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of talented software engineers focused on developing and testing critical systems that support the global defense community. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development of software test engineering strategies, frameworks, and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on desktop, web, and cloud-based solutions that acquire, analyze, and manage aircraft health and usage data, ultimately enhancing mission readiness and safety.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, with at least three years in a leadership or management capacity overseeing software engineering activities. A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields from an accredited institution is required. Candidates with a Secret Security Clearance will have a distinct advantage. Expertise in cloud application development, deployment, and software/hardware testing is highly desirable. Additional preferred qualifications include experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) in Earned Value Management (EVM), along with recognized certifications such as EVM Silver Medallion or higher.
Responsibilities
- Develop and motivate a high-performing team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with peers, business partners, customers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and deliverables.
- Work closely with testing teams to define testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive quality assurance and validation of software products.
- Create and maintain detailed roadmaps for software testing activities, including frameworks, plans, and schedules.
- Collaborate across functions to develop and implement project plans, policies, and procedures that support organizational objectives.
- Secure necessary resources for projects, oversee technical approaches, and ensure adherence to organizational strategies and standards.
- Participate in domestic and international travel to support project execution, stakeholder engagement, and team coordination.
