Summary
Entegee Engineering is actively seeking a Senior Director of Engineering in Waco, TX. This position leads and manages a team of engineers and designers and provides technical oversight across engineering activities. This role requires a strong foundation in systems and structural design, with regular application of core engineering principles related to stress analysis, material performance, and safety factors. A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and machine capabilities supports effective design decisions and project execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers.
- Apply core engineering knowledge to guide and support engineering personnel.
- Oversee systems and structural design activities.
- Evaluate and apply engineering principles related to shear, bending, compressive and tensile stresses, combined stresses, material yield and ultimate strengths, and safety factors.
- Utilize knowledge of machine capabilities and manufacturing processes to support daily engineering work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in mechanical, structural, and hydraulic design
- Demonstrated leadership ability with strong interpersonal and team-based communication skills
- Experience in problem solving and technical analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using 3D CAD and finite element analysis (FEA) tools
- Customer-facing experience
- Project management and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
- Extensive experience in product development for mobile and material handling equipment
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- MBA
- Computer proficiency
- Value engineering experience
