What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will direct the activities of a software development function for software application enhancements and new products. You will work with internal and external partners on the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of computer programs.
You will:
- Lead (not just manage) the team through various phases of software development using Agile methodology. Be accountable for the team deliverables and quality.
- Act like a business owner and coach/enable Product Owners, Scrum masters and Scrum team members to deliver commitments on time.
- Build expertise in the storage and the data mobility domain, and understand the tools and technologies used by the team, and clear impediments.
- Interact with product managers, usability experts and test teams to define requirements and drive quality.
- Contribute to the design discussions and drive technical decisions. Triage defects and drive resolution of complex, cross-functional issues. Be a mentor to the team members and actively manage performance of the team.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelors in Computer Science and/or Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience; 5+ years of management experience preferred
- Demonstrated software development background. General knowledge and application of software engineering concepts, algorithms and design patterns. Solid understanding of operating systems and experience in developing distributed systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a diverse, large and high performing software development team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Team oriented and passionate about developing skills and capabilities of team members. Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Desirable Requirements
- Good understanding of storage technologies. Experience in successfully implementing agile development methodologies. Software development skills in at least one mainstream language, such as C, C++, Java or Python. Experience in developing container/microservices based software components. Familiarity with scripting language, Perl or Shell Scripting in open systems
