An early-stage, VC-backed B2B software company in the construction space, building a platform to improve operational workflows and data consistency across complex projects.
The product is already in market with early adopters and is now entering a critical scale-up phase, focused on platform stability, security, and enterprise readiness following the close of their next funding round.
The Role
They are hiring their first senior technical leader, a CTO who will architect, scale, and own the full technical backbone of the platform.
This is an extremely hands-on role in the early phase. You will work directly with the founding team, make foundational technical decisions, and build the infrastructure that powers voice, AI, and real-time data operations.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Ownership
- Architect, maintain, and scale cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
- Own reliability, observability, and monitoring using SRE best practices
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and automation
CI/CD, Microservices & AI Workloads
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for microservices and AI systems
- Develop scalable deployment patterns for real-time voice and data workloads
Security & Operational Excellence
- Lead security, compliance, and environment hardening
- Drive performance tuning, cost efficiency, and system resilience
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Partner closely with founders on product direction and architecture
- Shape the roadmap for the evolving voice/AI platform
- Set engineering standards and establish technical culture
Experience We’re Looking For
Essential Background
- 8 to 10+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong systems design and debugging capability
- Hands-on experience scaling cloud environments (AWS or GCP)
- Proven track record in fast-paced or startup environments
- Ownership mindset with comfort operating autonomously
Bonus Experience
- VoIP, SIP, WebRTC, or other telephony systems
- Real-time data processing pipelines
- AI/ML infrastructure
- Early-stage SaaS or ConTech experience
