We're building software that modernizes a traditionally slow and expensive workflow through automation and AI. We’re looking for a highly capable technical leader who can own and scale our engineering function as we enter the next stage of growth.
Role Overview
We’re looking for someone who can operate across the full stack of startup technical leadership: application architecture, AWS infrastructure, security-minded decision making, developer workflow, hiring and managing technical talent, and helping shape product direction alongside the founders.
Our current stack includes AWS, Ruby, and R, so experience working in or around nontraditional production environments is valuable. The ideal candidate is an AI power user, has strong product instincts, and knows how to balance speed with technical quality in a high-growth company. Experience in fintech, compliance-heavy products, or other high-trust software environments is a major plus.
What You’ll Do
- Lead architecture and technical decision-making across the platform
- Own and improve our AWS environment, scalability, reliability, and security
- Work closely with leadership to shape the product roadmap and technical execution
- Improve engineering processes, development speed, and code quality
- Help evaluate, hire, and manage technical talent over time
- Use AI tools and modern workflows to accelerate product development
- Build systems that support growth from current ARR to the next stage of scale
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience leading engineering in a startup or high-growth environment
- Deep familiarity with AWS architecture and production systems
- Ability to operate as both a hands-on builder and a technical leader
- Strong product sense and growth mindset
- AI-native workflow: you actively use AI tools to improve speed and output
- Experience with fintech, compliance, data-heavy systems, or workflow automation is a plus
- Familiarity with R is a plus, or willingness to work within an existing R-based environment
