Amadeus Hospitality Data and Reporting Platform
Amadeus Hospitality Data and Reporting Platform (AHDRP) is the product that aims at creating operational reports for all the Hotel IT products, relying on the Big Data Platform. We are looking for an Engineering Manager, who will be responsible for Leading/Managing a team of Software Development Engineers in Bengaluru for developing next generation Amadeus Hospitality Data Reporting Platform (AHDRP).
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead the Reporting software development team in Bengaluru covering ETL & PowerBI.
- Accountable for the budget, performance and results of a big team. Influences the resource, budget and policy planning and sets concrete development plans for the team members.
- Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity and the business, influences the department's strategy based on a broad understanding of the environment and translate it into individual objectives.
- Exposed to complex decision making.
- Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions, escalating issues only when necessary.
- Motivate, coach, inspire and guide individual team members to stretch and expand their own capabilities
- Participate to recruitment activities.
- Drives Innovation and Patent filing.
Accountability / Business acumen
- Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to the department/division/company objectives
- Report on team activities
- Be accountable for the performance and results of a unit within own discipline or function
- Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
- Suggest alternatives / improvements / new techniques in processes, flows, operational models and plans
- Moderate budgetary impact on business
Technical excellence
- Timely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries
- Collaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure that software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.
Communication
- Ensure timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding company/organization information.
Skills
