Role Summary
We’re looking for a VP-level R&D leader who can take responsibility for how AIdome is built, released, and operated across cloud, on-prem, and regulated enterprise environments, and turn engineering output into predictable, secure, enterprise-grade delivery.
Your Mandate
You are accountable for how AIdome ships and scales.
Not just pipelines, process, ownership, standards, and outcomes across R&D, security, product, and customer deployments.
Core Responsibilities
Release & Delivery Leadership
- Own the end-to-end release lifecycle: build → test → sign → deploy → observe → recover
- Design a single enterprise-grade release framework supporting SaaS, private cloud, and customer-hosted environments
- Establish release cadences, versioning strategy, rollback standards, and SLAs
Platform & Infrastructure Strategy
- Define the platform architecture for environments across AWS and customer VMs
- Set the standard for infrastructure as code, GitOps, and reproducible installs
- Ensure deployments are auditable, secure, and compliant by design
Cross-Enterprise Process Leadership
- Lead cross-functional delivery processes across R&D, Product, Security, and Customer Operations
- Introduce clear ownership models (RACI), escalation paths, and decision frameworks
- Align engineering output with enterprise onboarding, security reviews, and procurement realities
Reliability, Security & Compliance
- Establish SRE practices: SLOs, observability, incident response, and postmortems
- Own platform hardening standards: IAM, TLS/mTLS, secrets, WAFs, artifact signing
- Partner with security, compliance, and customer teams to pass enterprise reviews without friction
Team & Culture
- Build and lead a small, high-leverage platform / release engineering team
- Set engineering standards that favor clarity, discipline, and operational excellence
- Mentor senior engineers and raise the operational maturity of the entire R&D org
What You Bring
- Senior engineering leadership experience (VP R&D, Head of Engineering, Principal Platform Lead)
- Proven track record owning enterprise release pipelines and production platforms
- Deep understanding of CI/CD, IaC (Terraform / Pulumi), and modern release strategies
- Experience shipping into regulated or security-sensitive enterprise environments
- Strong grasp of cloud + on-prem / hybrid architectures
- Operational mindset: you care about uptime, rollback, auditability, and trust
- Ability to lead across org boundaries and influence without friction
- Comfortable representing engineering decisions to execs, customers, and partners
Nice to Have (Strong Signal)
- Kubernetes / Helm at scale
- Identity and access platforms (OIDC, Keycloak, enterprise IdPs)
- Supply-chain security (Cosign, SBOMs, Trivy)
- Experience with customer-hosted or air-gapped deployments
- FinOps or cost-governance experience
