Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the market presence of the company’s travel software solutions. The role focuses on B2B clients within the travel and tourism ecosystem, including travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, airlines, and destination management companies (DMCs).
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, target, and acquire new B2B clients in the travel and tourism sector.
- Promote and sell travel software solutions (booking engines, CRM, ERP, channel managers, PMS, etc.).
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
- Prepare and deliver product demos, presentations, and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Market & Client Management
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate CRM records.
- Gather client feedback and communicate market needs to the product and tech teams.
Partnerships & Strategy
- Develop strategic partnerships with travel agencies, OTAs, system integrators, and technology partners.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on go-to-market strategies and campaigns.
- Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, implementation, and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction.
- Support upselling and cross-selling opportunities with existing clients.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems, Tourism Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in business development or sales.
- Proven experience in software / SaaS sales, preferably within travel-tech or hospitality technology.
- Strong understanding of travel industry workflows and digital solutions.
